Olivet was honored with Calvert County's Historic Preservation Award on Tuesday, August 23rd during the County Commissioners morning meeting. Pastor Alex and our chair of Finance, Bob Evans (who graciously submitted our award application) were in attendance.
The Historic District Commission recognizes the Olivet family for their "outstanding achievements and excellence in providing and preserving Calvert County's cultural heritage." In recent years, Olivet's Trustees have overseen our stained-glass window refurbishment, new landscaping involving native plants, and the installation of a columbaria in our cemetery. None of this would have been possible without their diligence or the support of the congregation. Thanks be to God!
